Already in its 11th edition, this is a classic on both Spain and its food. The meat of the book is over 400 typical Spanish recipes, but much of the joy is in the weaving of Spanish culture and culinary history, not to mention personal experience, into the presentation of the food. A pleasure to read (although hunger-inducing), this book also includes a survey of Spanish wines.
